The film’s clash of Chinese and American cultures in San Francisco is
developed in this stylish, neo-noir sequence, designed, directed and filmed specifically for the title sequence. Like a shark circling for the final kill, the black Mercedes relentless drives from Marin County, through San Francisco to its final destination of an industrial park in Oakland. The familiar landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the TransAmerica Tower, and the Embarcadero were chosen specifically to clearly set the location for this dynamic action film. The credits slowly change from English to accurate Chinese translations, reinforcing the collision of cultures in the San Francisco underworld.
